THE DAILY TANGLE
The Daily Tangle is a small daily puzzle game. This policy explains what data we collect and what we do with it, in plain language.
What we collect
- Email address — only if you sign in. We use it to send you a magic sign-in link. We never send marketing email.
- Handle — the username you pick (3–16 characters). It appears publicly on the leaderboards.
- Scores — your solve times, move counts, puzzle dates and puzzle types. These power the leaderboards and your personal stats.
What is public
Handles and scores appear on the public leaderboards, visible to anyone who visits the site. Your email address is never shown publicly.
What is stored on your device
We use your browser's local storage to keep your in-progress game and to queue scores when you are offline. Nothing leaves your device except when you sign in or submit a score.
What we don't do
- No ads, no ad trackers, no analytics beacons.
- We don't sell, rent or share your personal data with anyone.
- We don't collect your name, location, or anything beyond what is listed above.
Where data lives
Account and score data is stored with our database provider, Supabase, and is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Your choices
You can play the daily puzzles without signing in — only signed-in players appear on the leaderboards. To delete your account data, sign in and contact the site owner through the sign-in email address on file.
Children
The Daily Tangle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
